Home Staging Mistakes series
Disclaimer: I totally dislike doing the videos, especially if they involve seeing myself on them :). I know that a lot of you will relate to these feelings, but, at the same time, I want to better connect with you all and make the connection more personal.
But, I see so many home staging mistakes people make, which are easy to avoid, that it was a natural progression to offer the tips on the topic.
So, I recently tried it. It started with a short video clip on why most people tend to overprice their property and the negative impact it will have on the staging of the house and, ultimately, the sale of the house.

Actually, after I recorded it, I realized that I should have talked about a very important topic first. And that is: Emotional Attachment! It is completely normal, if your home was a happy place for you. But, as soon as you decide to put your house on the market, you MUST try to be objective and critical. The Second video discusses the absolutely necessary competitive research which you should be conducting in your area, BEFORE you do anything else.

And then, I was on a roll, kind of 🙂 I saw that my videos were being watched and I received several nice comments…
So, in my third video, I focused on clarifying the difference between DECORATING and HOME STAGING. Many people are not clear on this, but is extremely important to understand that you are not doing this for yourself but for the buyers 🙂
